Aurawra has a bunch of cute critters running around. Among them, you’ll likely notice a few friendly faces that keep coming up.
Meet our Mascots, who bring so much life to Aurawra with their shenanigans!
Aster
The Starlit Adventurer
Species: Saltwater Crocodile
Place of Birth: Northern Australia
Age: Adult
Pronouns: They/Theirs
A is for Aster, awesomeness, and adventure! This happy-go-lucky crocodile is highly approachable with a relaxed, friendly personality, and can most often be described as cool, calm, and curious. They also stand with an air of confidence which makes them particularly ideal for leading the adventures they embark upon, and while they remain collected most of the time, they’re also prone to being a bit snappy every now and again. Aster also happens to have a voracious appetite, and particularly loves snacking… OFTEN.

Billiam
The Hesitant Wanderer

Species: Greater Bilby
Place of Birth: The red-hot Red Desert, Heart of Australia
Age: Late Teens / Young Adult
Pronouns: He/Him
If not for the size of his ears, which are always pricked and alert to his surroundings, Billiam would be the shortest member of the trio. While one might mistake his hypervigilance for cowardice, the truth is that Billiam is just nervous, shy, easily startled. He is a herbivorous marsupial and such traits are instinctive and highly advantageous to his species. He tends to consider situations with much less volume and far more caution than his peers, which means his carefully thought-out insights often provide them with superior reasoning, understanding, and safety. His soft personality and timid voice also give him the capacity to more easily disarm their arguments.

Quortney
The Snappy Pathfinder
Species: Eastern Quoll
Place of Birth: West Coast of Tasmania
Age: Adult
Pronouns: She/Her
The only thing small about Quortney is her stature. With a passionate temper like lightning, a mouth full of dagger-sharp teeth, and a jaw-bite powerful enough to crush solid bone, this deadly dasyurid is not one to dice with! Quortney can best be described as fierce and fiery, with stocky little feet and a thick, solid tail which gives her superior balance and all the dexterity needed for getting into fights. She’s also a proud, stubborn little thing, LOVES to argue, and goes all-in, even when she knows she’s wrong. In spite of her impulsive ferocity, there is no better friend to have on one’s side when words won’t work any more.

Aurion
Order Made Manifest

Species: Phoenix Lyrebird
Place of Birth: The unknown sky, above the clouds
Age: Time immemorial
Pronouns: They/Them
You will never catch a feather astray upon Aurion’s immaculate visage. As the avatar of order, it is in Aurion’s nature to be presentable, organised and reliable. As such, there are no deviations and no surprises when it comes to this bird. When Aster, Billiam and Aurion inadvertently unleashed Rü upon the world, Aurion was compelled to swoop in and correct the anomaly without delay. Their victory was disturbingly decisive and eerily efficient.
Rü may be contained, but there is much to prepare for their eventual resurgence and Aurion will ensure these arrangements are made without delay and without complaint.

Rü
Chaos Incarnate
Species: Lava Wyvern
Place of Birth: The unnamed land, deep beneath the earth
Age: Ancient, well beyond mortal reckoning
Pronouns: They/Them
The Aspect of Chaos, named ‘Rû’, manifests as a colossal Lava Wyvern, their very scales seething with ancient power. Genderless, but with slight masculine tendencies, this primal being is a living cauldron of unpredictability, their temper as explosive as the volcanic eruptions they embody. Few dare approach, but those brave enough may glimpse ancient wisdom behind molten eyes.
Despite an often fiery disposition, Rû’s personality can best be described as paradoxical: catastrophic destruction intertwined with gentle creation, chaos breeding new opportunity, and fury balanced by inscrutable, cosmic patience as ancient as the underground caverns they inhabit. Approach them at your own peril, for to face them is to embrace the unpredictable nature of entropy itself.
